Weekend Rush
This Saturday was packed with photo stuff. No big jobs, just lots of shooting.
I started the day climbing at the Curse wall high in American Fork Canyon. Most of AF is limestone, but at the very top (near 9,000 feet) there are some quartzite cliffs that have excellent climbing. The downside is how long it takes to get there, the rough road, and the climbs are pretty short. One route I worked on was literally 2 bolts long. Either way, the leaves were amazing and the climbing was fun. I need to get back up there before it gets to cold to get the send on the 5.13 that I tried.
After a great day in the sun getting some hard climbing in, I rushed home to meet up with our Little, Daniel. Sarah and I are volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah. Daniel and I were going to make a gift for his mom, and we figured a photo taken by him, and matted and framed by us would be a great gift. So I picked him up and headed up to Little Cottonwood Canyon to get some evening fall shots. Daniel definitely had a good eye for photos. Here are two of the shots we came up with. We decided to frame the first shot.

I have said it before, and I am sure I will say it again…..”Your photos are awesome!” I don’t mean that like it’s a skateboard trick, I mean it like they are truly awe inspiringly (is that a real word?) beautiful. Thanks for posting them.
Dave
Thanks Dave! It’s comments like that which inspire me to keep shooting. 🙂
Wow… American Fork has never looked so good!
The colors are fantastic, the light in your stream scene is stunning as well, one day I am going to shoot Aspen tree’s !!
