Scary Snow

So we finally got a lot of new snow.  Sarah and I had a great day at Solitude on Monday.  I had been out of town all week so I just wanted to get some turns in.  Sorry, no pics.  Next time I swear!

The problem with this new snow is that it’s dangerous.  I don’t claim to be an expert in the backcountry, so times like this means I stay at home.  It’s always sad when I’m driving to work and there beautiful light and amazing snow, but it’s just a time bomb waiting to happen.  We have a new storm system moving in Thursday night.  This could either make the danger worse by just adding more snow onto the weak layer, or help the weak layer bond.
